A First for Me

As a Colorado baby photographer, Joey’s newborn portraits were extra exciting for me.

He’s my first (and only…so far) godson!!

His mom is one of my best friends, and I had been photographing Joey’s two older siblings since 2010.  When he was born, I was honored to be named a godmother and super stoked to photograph Joey’s newborn photos!

As with his older sister Lucy and his older brother Tony, I was at the hospital within hours of him being born.  And just like for Lucy and Tony, I photographed Joey’s newborn portraits at their family home.

As a baby photographer, I aimed for natural and clean images, with little to no distractions.  I captured the simple and sweet subtle details for Joey’s newborn photos.

Eek!  He’s so cute!!

Baby Photographer

I began professionally photographing babies in 2006.  Since that time, I’ve photographed hundreds and hundreds of babies.  From babies that are only a few hours young to those that are starting to crawl, I feel like I’ve experienced it all when it comes to photographing them.  Their needs are few and simple, but if not met, their stubbornness can come on strong.  As a Denver baby photographer, I know that speed, flexibility, and understanding are everything.

Because of my 12+ years of experience photographing babies, I bring patience and knowledge to every baby I meet in my photography sessions.  I also bring a warm sensitivity to babies with special needs, and my flexibility allows for extra time and rescheduling options.

As a Colorado baby photographer, my main goal is to provide a completely stress-free experience for parents.  Some times baby photography sessions don’t go as smoothly as new parents hoped that they would.  As a baby photographer, I actually never even expect them to go smoothly!  Photographing babies has a special set of challenges.  I expect them, understand them, and adapt to them.  I never want parents to feel embarrassed or apologetic when I walk away from a baby photography session.  It’s all part of my job as a professional baby photographer!

While my main goal is to provide a completely stress-free experience, my other goal to snap some lovely portraits of your baby.  Free from the distractions of multiple toys, props, or backgrounds, I like to focus on your baby’s face and expressions.  I document your baby naturally in your home.  These are the days for that!  it’s all about that sweet, new, beautiful face!
