I Was Born For This Business!
My love for photography started when I was just 11 years old.
With a 110 and then a 35 mm camera, I started photographing vacations with my family and events at my grade school.
By the time I reached high school, I was already videotaping important events...like my grandparents' 40th wedding anniversary party.
For my senior year of high school, my parents bought me my own camcorder (probably so that I would stop always using theirs!)
I’ve basically been documenting life for almost 30 years now!
In college, I started studying photography processes and learned the importance of printing photography and different ways to display this fine art.
I graduated from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2005 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Photography.
In 2006, I photographed babies and toddlers in preschools and daycares.
From 2007-2013, I worked for a professional portrait studio and photographed hundreds of children (most under the age of three).
From a two-day-old infant to a family of 40, I mastered perfect posing.
In 2015, I decided that I wanted to elevate the professional portrait experience for Colorado.
I wanted to combine my desire to document my fellow humans, my skill for posing them, my fast turnaround, and my love of and design experience with hardcover portrait books and gallery wrap canvases.
So, I started Sweet Green Photography.
Now, to get a little more personal...
