Baby Rosie

I met baby Rosie at a park for her first professional portraits.  Mom brought a simple blanket and no change of clothes.  We were going to keep it simple.  Just the way I like it!

As proud mama looked on, Rosie was happy to show off how strong she was, pushing up high off the ground from her tummy.  Our time at the park was brief.  We soon headed back to their family home to photograph more.  Since they lived only a couple of minutes away, we were still in that wonderful window of Rosie not needing to eat nor sleep.  I always move particularly fast when photographing babies, but this convenience was an extra treat.  Switching up locations while photographing babies usually doesn’t go so smoothly!  Timing is everything.

Once we arrived at their house, Mom stripped Rosie down to her diaper.  Laying Rosie on a cream-colored, soft, squishy throw was the perfect backdrop for some beautifully basic portraits.

After I captured some sweet expressions from happy baby Rosie in her diaper, Mom dressed Rosie into her christening gown.  An antique Baptismal dress in the family, the color and textual of the lace was stunning.  I loved being able to photograph Rosie in 3 very different “looks” that day!  She was such a cooperative baby too!

Baby Photographer

I began professionally photographing babies in 2006.  Since that time, I’ve photographed hundreds and hundreds of babies.  From babies that are only a few hours young to those that are starting to crawl, I feel like I’ve experienced it all when it comes to photographing them.  Their needs are few and simple, but if not met, their stubbornness can come on strong.  As a Denver baby photographer, I know that speed, flexibility, and understanding are everything.

Because of my 12+ years of experience photographing babies, I bring patience and knowledge to every baby I meet in my photography sessions.  I also bring a warm sensitivity to babies with special needs, and my flexibility allows for extra time and rescheduling options.

As a Colorado baby photographer, my main goal is to provide a completely stress-free experience for parents.  Some times baby photography sessions don’t go as smoothly as new parents hoped that they would.  As a baby photographer, I actually never even expect them to go smoothly!  Photographing babies has a special set of challenges.  I expect them, understand them, and adapt to them.  I never want parents to feel embarrassed or apologetic when I walk away from a baby photography session.  It’s all part of my job as a professional baby photographer!  I don’t sweat it at all.  🙂

While my main goal is to provide a completely stress-free experience, my other goal to snap some lovely portraits of your baby.  Free from the distractions of multiple toys, props, or backgrounds, I like to focus on your baby’s face and expressions.  I document your baby naturally in your home.  These are the days for that!  it’s all about that sweet, new, beautiful face!
